Erfswinden is a deserted village in the district of the hamlet Seebergen the municipality Drei Gleichen in the district of Gotha in Thuringia .

Seebergen's district is located at the eastern foot of the well-known Seeberge nature reserve and its highest point, the Großer Seeberg . In this area you will find the Erfisiegen desert. The running water Rotbach crosses the corridor as a water dispenser.
history
The village of Erfis winds was mentioned in a document on November 19, 1370 along with other towns. This document is in the Rudolstadt State Archives. Another reference to the already desolate place is the following document: The Hufe Land in the corridor to the desolate village of Erfis winds (Erschringen) on the Seeberger Steingraben, which the council had bought from Hermann von Seebergen, went to the Ilmen monastery as a fief ... Why and why the village fell into desolation was not clear from the documents.
