Ergates is a genus of beetles from the family of the longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae) within the subfamily Prioninae . It occurs in Central Europe or Europe with only one species.

features

The side edge of the pronotum has a sharp edge and is provided with a stronger thorn behind the center. The belly is arched flat, the side edge has a fine-keeled edge. The epipleurs on the wings are narrow and slightly wider towards the front. They touch the shoulder bumps. The long antennae have eleven links and are unsawed.

Occurrence and way of life

The larvae develop in softwood.
