Ergonomics checked

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The test seal ergonomics tested is awarded to office furniture, screens and software if they meet certain ergonomic requirements.

It certifies a monitor, for example, electrical safety ( GS mark ) and the fulfillment of ergonomic requirements according to the standards DIN EN ISO 9241 parts 3 and 8 (visual displays and color representations) as well as other criteria such as luminance or uniformity of the representation of the characters.

In terms of software, features such as dialog guidance , user guidance , menus and other things according to DIN EN ISO 9241, parts 10 to 17, must apply. The screen must be low-radiation according to the MPR II .

Ergonomic tests are also carried out and certificates are awarded for work equipment such as swivel chairs and work tables. For swivel chairs, the test series goes far beyond the applicable standards (EN DIN 1335 1–3). It is primarily used for procurement as an indication of the "state of the art" required in the VDU work regulations.

The TÜV and the Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern (LGA) award the seal of approval ergonomics tested after an examination - which only means that the latest findings, which have already been included in the standards, have been taken into account, but in no way means that the most recent (perhaps contested ) State of the art is taken into account.
