Eric Kunze

Eric Kunze (* 1971 in San Diego ) is an American Broadway musical actor and singer.

Kunze was already active in choir and theater performances at his high school, Rancho Buena Vista High. He studied acting at the University of California, Irvine . In his penultimate year of college he auditioned and sang in New York at the age of 20 for the role of Marius in Les Misérables and got it.

When he's not on tour, Kunze and his long-time colleague and girlfriend Gina De Luca run their own production company Big City Broadway, based in San Diego .

Kunze studied singing with Tony McDowell, Harry Garland and Bruce Kolb in Los Angeles. His acting teachers were Uta Hagen and Alan Savage in New York and Drew Tombrello, Andrew Barnicle and Robert Cohen in Los Angeles. He received his dance training in New York with Buzz Miller, Thommie Walsh, Mary Rotella and Susan Stroman and in Los Angeles with Javier Velasco, Jack Tygett, Donale McKayle, El Gabriel and Bernard Johnson.
