Eric Schoop
Eric Schoop (born November 19, 1958 in Jos , Nigeria ) is a German economist and business IT specialist whose scientific focus is on information modeling as well as the design and development of virtual learning environments. He currently teaches at the TU Dresden .
Life
Eric Schoop studied economics in Heidelberg from 1977 to 1983 before working as a research assistant and post-doctoral candidate at the Universities of Bamberg and Würzburg . In 1987 he did his doctorate on decentralized manufacturing information systems and in 1993 he received his habilitation on decision-oriented information processing with hypertext. In the same year he followed the call to the TU Dresden.
