Eric Varin

Eric Varin (born February 9, 1976 in Caen ) is a French table tennis player . He was European team champion in 1998.

With the exception of the 2002/03 season, in which he belonged to the Levallois club, Varin played from 1990 to 2005 at Caen Tennis de Table . With this he won the Champions League in 1998/99 . At the French championships in 2003 and 2004 he came second in doubles with Cedric Cabestany, and in 2004 he was also runner-up in singles. In 2009 he reached the final in doubles with Patrick Chila , which was lost to Christophe Legoût / Michel Martinez .

From 1999 to 2004 Varin was nominated four times for world championships . At the European Championship in 1998 he won gold with the French team, and in 2002 it was bronze.
