Erich Hansmann

Erich Hansmann (born August 11, 1920 in Rühle , today a district of Bodenwerder , † August 23, 1989 in Holzminden ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Hansmann trained as a building fitter in Hameln. From September 1939 he was drafted into military service and participated in the war as a pioneer. As a company commander, he was taken prisoner by the English. He was married and had three children. Hansmann died on August 23, 1989 in Holzminden.

politics

After returning from captivity, Hansmann was mayor and community director of the Rühle community from April 1946. From 1952 he was a member of the district council of the district of Holzminden. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 4th and 5th electoral periods from May 6, 1959 to March 2, 1965. The most important office was as chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sport from June 26, 1963 to February 4, 1965.
