Erich Kosler

Erich Kosler (born July 16, 1915 in Lilienfeld ; † March 31, 2001 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and principal school director. Kosler was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1962 to 1977 .

Kosler attended the teacher training college in St. Pölten and then began teaching in 1934. Between 1936 and 1937 he served in the Austrian Armed Forces, after which he was transferred to Silesia in 1938. He was drafted into military service from 1939 to 1945 during World War II, when he was taken prisoner by the British. After the end of the war, Kosler was a local councilor in Lilienfeld from 1955 to 1960 and from 1965 to 1975, he was also active from 1960 as SPÖ district party chairman and from 1967 to 1972 as regional chairman of the Workers' Samaritan Association. Kosler represented the SPÖ between December 11, 1962 and December 31, 1977 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
