Erich Rinner (trumpeter)

Erich Rinner (born October 23, 1960 in Schwaz , Tyrol ) is an Austrian solo trumpeter .

He studied trumpet with Hans Zorn at the Tyrolean State Conservatory and with Walter Uhlemann at the Munich University of Music.

After working at the Frankfurt Opera and as a solo trumpeter at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden, he was deputy from 1983 to 2002. Solo trumpeter with the Munich Philharmonic.

He is also a founding member and trumpeter of the group Blechschaden (brass section of the Munich Philharmonic). Blechschaden has already received several notable awards, including a. twice the German record award "Echo".

In 2012 he was awarded the professional title of "Professor".

Erich Rinner also wrote a series of practical textbooks, duets and etudes for trumpet.

Erich Rinner has been a lecturer in trumpet at the Tyrolean State Conservatory since 1992. He is department head for brass, percussion and LG wind orchestra and has been deputy director since September 2016.
