Erich Schulze (politician, 1949)

Erich Schulze (born June 26, 1949 in Daubitz near Weißwasser ) was a Saxon local politician from 1990 to 2001.

Schulze graduated from the TU Dresden in 1972 with a degree in physics. He then worked as a physicist in Zittau and most recently as a research assistant in the glass industry in Bad Muskau . Since 1975 he was a member of the Provincial Synod of the Evangelical Church of the Görlitz Church District , later of the Evangelical Church of Silesian Upper Lusatia and, until 2008, of the State Synod of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .

After Schulze belonged to the New Forum in 1989, he became a CDU member in 1990 and was district administrator for the Weißwasser district from 1990 to 1994 and of the Lower Silesian Upper Lusatia district from 1994 to 2001 . During his tenure he was chairman of the regional planning association Upper Lusatia-Lower Silesia, the special purpose association Verkehrsverbund Oberlausitz-Lower Silesia and president of the German part of the Euroregion Neisse .
