Soccer career

Dynamo Dresden

Erich Siede, a trained electrician, was part of the SG Dynamo Dresden team in 1962/63, which was back in the GDR league after seven years of absence. It was also the season in which Siede first played in the GDR Oberliga. There the 19-year-old made his debut on the 4th game day of the season, September 2, 1962. In the encounter between Motor Jena and Dynamo Dresden (4-0) he was used as a half-right striker. He held this position until the end of the season, in which he completed a total of 15 games. Newcomer Dynamo could not hold up in the league and had to relegate to the GDR league . Siede continued his career in the second division, but Dynamo Dresden managed to return to the top league within a year. In his second league season, Siede played all 26 point games, now on the right side of the storm. In 1965/66 his career suffered another kink. At first he had played all league league games up to the 9th matchday, but then he lost his position to the young talent Hans-Jürgen Kreische and was then only used in four other league games. At the end of the season, Siede Dynamo left Dresden after 54 games in the league.

Erfurt, Riesa, Erfurt, Hoyerswerda

At the beginning of the 1966/67 season, Siede played for the league relegated FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . He helped the team with 12 of 30 staged matches played to the immediate promotion, but then moved again, this time to the GDR league team Stahl Riesa. Even with this team, Siede rose to the league within a year, only to return to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the summer of 1968. The Erfurt played in the upper league, but Siede was only used in the second team playing in the third-class district league . After the end of the 1968/69 season, Siede left Erfurt again and moved to the Cottbus district league team activist Schwarze Pump . With the team playing in Hoyerswerda , Siede celebrated promotion for the fifth time in his career, this time in the GDR league. Nevertheless, Siede had to continue to play in the 3rd division, as the promotion was canceled due to financial manipulation. A year later, in 1971, however, the final rise was achieved, and activist was then able to establish himself in the GDR league. In 1977 Siede ended his active career in Hoyerswerda.
