Erich von Wulkow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Erich von Wulkow was a Lebuser captain of Margrave Ludwig von Brandenburg . He came from the old knight dynasty of those von Wulkow, who had their headquarters in today's Wulkow .

Under the charge that the Lubusz Bishop Stephan II had called the Polish mercenaries into the country, von Wulkow destroyed the residence of the Bishop of Lebus in Göritz in 1326 on behalf of the margrave : the city of Göritz, the diocese church and other episcopal buildings. Until 1354 von Wulkow was the last Vogt of the Bailiwick of Lebus. This is evidenced by the signature on a sales document from the Schmerlmühle as a witness from 1321. His son Johann Herrmann von Wulkow took over the town of Falkenhagen as a knightly fiefdom.
