Erik Hebold

Erik Hebold (* 1966 ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

Hebold became basketball champion of the German Democratic Republic in 1988 with the HSG TU Magdeburg . In 1989 he repeated the success with the Magdeburg team. There were also appearances in the European Cup. The two-meter-tall player on the inside position was also appointed to the GDR selection. After the end of the GDR, Hebold played for USC Magdeburg in the 2nd basketball league and in lower-class leagues.

In the over 40 competition class, he took part in the 2009 World Championships in Prague . In 2012 he was part of the German over 45 team that played the European Championship in Lithuania , and in 2015 Hebold was in the same age group at the World Cup in Orlando .
