Commemorative medal for the campaign against Paraguay

The commemorative medal for the campaign against Paraguay was an award from the country of Argentina , which was created by law in 1871. They were awarded to all participants in the Argentine campaign in the course of the Triple Alliance War , in accordance with the military hierarchy of the entrusted .

Classification

  • 1st class ( gold medal for commanders)
  • II class ( silver medal for officers)
  • III. Class ( copper medal for teams)

Appearance and wearing style

The gold, silver or copper-colored medal shows the coat of arms of Argentina and the inscription of the campaign on its obverse . The reverse is not yet known. The medal of all classes is worn on the upper left side of the chest.
