Permit (mining law)

In German mining law, the permit is the right to look for mineral resources in a specific mine field .

The Federal Mining Act (BBergG) introduced in the FRG in 1982 grants the exclusive right, in accordance with the provisions of this Act , to search for the mineral resources specified in the permit in a specific field (field of authorization ) and, in the case of planned exploration , to allocate mineral resources that are necessarily to be released or released win and acquire ownership of it, to build and operate the facilities necessary for the exploration of the mineral resources and for the execution of the related activities.

The granting of a permit merely represents a legal title that basically and exclusively entitles the owner to carry out the exploration in the area of ​​permission granted to him solely on the basis of the suitability to be proven. There is no right to actual search acts. These may only take place on the basis of approved operating plans.
