Ernest A. Kehr
Ernest Anthony Kehr (born September 10, 1911 - November 13, 1986 ) was an American philatelist .
Career
Kehr was a member of the Collectors Club of New York . He wrote numerous articles for the association's publications. He has had columns in several daily newspapers including New York World-Telegram , New York Herald Tribune, and Long Island's Newsday . He promoted stamp collecting in over 2000 programs on radio and television. His best known book, The Romance of Stamp Collecting , was published in 1947.
Since 1991 the American Philatelic Society has presented the Ernest A. Kehr Award for outstanding achievements in promoting youth philately.
