Ernie Chua
Ernesto "Ernie" Chan , or Ernie Chua (* July 27, 1940 , † May 16, 2012 ) was a Filipino cartoonist.
Life
Chan emigrated from Manila to the United States in the 1960s. There he was forced to live and work under the name Chua for several decades due to a data error from the US immigration authorities before he was able to have the error officially corrected.
The series that Chua worked on as a draftsman and / or inkjet printer include Conan the Barbarian , Doctor Strange , Kull the Destroyer , Power Man and The Incredible Hulk for Marvel Comics , as well as Claw the Unconquered and Batman for DC Comics . His most frequent artistic partners were the brothers John and Sal Buscema.
