Ernst Franz Vogelmann Prize for contemporary sculpture
The Ernst Franz Vogelmann Prize for contemporary sculpture is awarded in honor of the founder and Heilbronn citizen and entrepreneur Ernst Franz Vogelmann (1915–2003). Every three years , the prize honors visual artists who sustainably promote the development of contemporary sculpture and who have their life or creative focus in Germany or neighboring countries.
Originally endowed with € 25,000 and now € 30,000, the prize has been awarded jointly by the Ernst Franz Vogelmann Foundation and the Heilbronn Municipal Museums since 2007 . It is linked to a solo exhibition in the Vogelmann art gallery the following year and an acquisition for the collection of the Heilbronn Municipal Museums.
