Ernst-Hartmann von Schlotheim

Ernst-Hartmann von Schlotheim (born September 27, 1914 in Wiesbaden ; † October 31, 1952 there ) was a German fencer .

Origin and occupation

Ernst-Hartmann Freiherr von Schlotheim came from a Thuringian noble family. Ernst Hartmann von Schlotheim was born on December 27, 1914 in Wiesbaden as the son of Majors a. D. Hartmann Freiherr von Schlotheim and Frieda Albert were born.

Ernst-Hartmann von Schlotheim joined the Air Force , where he rose to the rank of captain. After the war he worked as a businessman. Since December 19, 1939 he was married to Princess Benigna zu Wied, with whom he had two daughters.

Exercise

From his youth he devoted himself to fencing. He became a member of the fencing club Hermannia Frankfurt , the leading fencing club in Germany at the time. With this club, whose fencers had won numerous national and international titles and medals since the times of the Weimar Republic , he won a title with the team at the German fencing championships. For this, he and the other team members of the Hermannia fencing club were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on December 7, 1951.
