Ernst-Thälmann-Straße 21, Im Winkel 1, 3, Mittelstraße 12, 13 was the name entered in the monument register for Völpke for the formerly listed town center of Völpke in Saxony-Anhalt .

History and architecture

Most of the buildings in the town center were built after a fire in 1806. In addition to the Sankt Margareta Church, the town center includes several large farms with their respective houses, striking arches made of quarry stone and farm buildings. In addition, the paving of the streets was also characteristic of the monument area . The Ducksteinsche Hof at Mittelstrasse 11 , where the mayor Jacob Duckstein lived and where the office was located, was particularly important .

In the monument register, the town center was recorded as a monument area under registration number 094 55942. After various demolitions and collapses of buildings in the monument area and the erection of inappropriate new buildings, it was found that the area had lost its monument status. Therefore, the entry from the list of monuments took place in 2016.
