The house at Ernst-Thälmann-Straße 8 is a listed building in the town of Gernrode, part of the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building is located west of Gernröder's old town and is listed as a villa in the local register of monuments.

Architecture and history

The two-storey villa was built around 1890/1900 in the style of late classicism . The facade consists of yellow clinker bricks. There are plaster structures on the windows. There are also medallions as decorative elements. There are sawn wood decorations on the gable . Wooden verandas were added to the house, similar to the regional spa pension style.
