Ernst Carl Hellbling

Ernst Carl Hellbling (born January 2, 1901 in Vienna ; † January 14, 1985 there ) was an Austrian legal historian .

Life

From 1918 he studied law at the University of Vienna ( Dr. iur. 1924) and entered the service of the Vienna community in 1926 (senior senate councilor in 1948, head of the appeals office of the magistrate's office, retired in 1961). After completing his habilitation in 1948 at the University of Vienna (associate professor 1954, full professor for German law and Austrian constitutional and administrative history 1959, full professor at the University of Salzburg 1965, retirement 1971).
