Ernst Kogler

Ernst Kogler (born November 17, 1935 in Neustift an der Lafnitz , † March 22, 2009 in Vienna ) was an Austrian employee and politician ( SPÖ ). From 1977 to 1996, Kogler was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Ernst Kogler was born as the son of the bricklayer Josef Kogler from Neustift. He attended elementary school in Neustift and learned to become an electrician, in which he worked until 1962.

politics

Kogler was a functionary of the SPÖ and the ARBÖ from 1957 and worked between 1962 and 1969 as a secretary of the district secretariat of the SPÖ-Oberwart. Between 1963 and 1976 Kogler was regional chairman of the ARBÖ and from 1973 to 1990 city party chairman of the SPÖ Oberwart. Furthermore, Kogler acted as state secretary of the ARBÖ from 1976 to 1996 and was city councilor in Oberwart between 1977 and 1987. Kogler represented the SPÖ from October 27, 1977 to June 27, 1996 in the Burgenland Landtag.
