Ernst Kredel jun.

Ernst Kredel jun. (Born January 11, 1893 in Schmersau ; † 1985 ) was a German officer and writer .

Life

Kredel came after graduation in 1914 at the High School Salzwedel first as a cadet in the Infantry Regiment 67 (Metz) that came in 1917 as a lieutenant for the Air Force (only as observers, and later as a pilot ) and fought until 1920 as a first lieutenant and squadron leader in the plane Kampfgeschwader Sachsenberg in Baltics against the Red Army.

He studied economics, history and philosophy in Königsberg and obtained his doctorate in Berlin. phil.

In 1924 he started at Junkers AG in Dessau. After the company merged with Deutsche Aero Lloyd AG to form Deutsche Lufthansa, Kredel worked as its first press department manager. In 1929 he took over the administration of Deutsche Verkehrsflug AG in Fürth.

During the Second World War he worked as a lieutenant colonel in staff positions.

Kredel wrote publications on aviation history, essays on aviation and defense policy and interviews about personalities in aviation.
