Ernst Kurz

Ernst Josef Kurz (born September 13, 1935 in Oberschützen ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 1982 to 1996 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Kurz was born as the son of farmer Josef Kurz from Oberschützen and completed a two-year agricultural school after five classes in elementary school and four classes in Oberschützen secondary school. He then worked as a farmer and went into business for himself in 1969. In 1989 he was given the professional title of Economics Council.

politics

Shortly his political career began in 1967 as Vice Mayor in Oberschützen and from 1972 he was involved in the presbytery of the Protestant parish of Oberschützen. In 1979 he took over the function of the ÖVP local party chairman in Oberschützen, in 1980 he became chairman of the district farmers' council. In addition, he worked from 1970 as chairman of the Burgenland regional licensing committee and was chairman of the supervisory board of the Burgenland pig breeding association from 1972 to 1975 and from 1990 chairman of the Burgenland Simmental breeding association . Briefly represented the ÖVP from October 29, 1982 to June 27, 1996 in the Burgenland state parliament.
