Ernst Mack

Ernst Mack (born November 30, 1953 in Aachen ) is a German painter , draftsman and experimental musician.

Life

Ernst Mack was born in Aachen in 1953 as the son of the war returnee and businessman Herbert Eberhard Mack (1920–1966) and his wife, the businessman Hannelore Katharina Mack, born. Krauss (1924–2012), born. When the father died of late health effects of being a prisoner of war, Mack followed his mother's request in 1967 and attended the Heiligkreuz boarding school in Donauwörth .

In 1969, Mack returned to Aachen and in 1971 obtained secondary school leaving certificate from the David Hansemann secondary school. After an internship with a goldsmith, he began studying object design at the FH Aachen in 1973 , where he was a student of Professor Ernst Wille . In 1980 he passed his exam there with a diploma as a designer. Ernst Mack has lived and worked as a freelance artist in Aachen since then.

In his extensive work, Mack deals with findings from experimental electronic music in a painterly manner. For sound events generated by synthesizers, he developed his own notation and color language, which is the basis of his pictorial work.
