Ernst Stengelin

Erwin Hermann Stengelin (born May 6, 1909 in Tuttlingen , † October 14, 1943 in the Sobibór extermination camp ) was a German SS sergeant and was killed in the Sobibór uprising . Nothing is known about his life.

Stengelin served in the Grafeneck Castle killing center in Grafeneck near Münsingen and in the Hadamar Nazi killing center before he was assigned to the Treblinka extermination camp as part of “ Aktion Reinhardt ” . He was then sent to the Sobibór extermination camp shortly before the Sobibór uprising . There he was deployed in Camp I and was killed by the camp inmates in the course of the uprising. Suchomel was the only one to report his death.
