Ernst Veenemans
Ernst Willem Veenemans (born March 18, 1940 in Haarlem ) is a former Dutch rower .
The 1.84 m tall Ernst Veenemans from the rowing club Nereus Amsterdam formed a two-man without a helmsman together with Steven Blaisse . At the Olympic Games in 1960, the two were eliminated in the hope run . In 1961 they won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Prague behind the German and Finnish boats.
In 1964 the European Championships took place on the Bosbaan in Amsterdam. Veenemans and Blaisse won in front of their home crowd ahead of the German and Danish two. Also at the Olympic Games in 1964 , the two proved to be the strongest European team, behind Canadians George Hungerford and Roger Jackson , Veenemans and Blaisse received the silver medal in front of the German two.
