Ernst Wirth-Purtscheller

Ernst Wirth-Purtscheller (* December 7, 1887 - December 21, 1938 ) was an Austrian politician. Wirth-Purtscheller was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1934 to 1938 .

Wirth-Purtscheller was district leader of the Fatherland Front and represented the state of the public service from November 27, 1936 to March 12, 1938 in the Lower Austrian state parliament during the period of Austrofascism . After the National Socialists came to power, Wirth-Purtscheller was imprisoned for a few days on March 13, 1938 and severely disturbed by multiple interrogations and threats. Wirth-Purtscheller committed suicide in December 1938.

He was a member of the Catholic student associations KÖStV Austria Wien (since 1908) and KÖHV Leopoldina Innsbruck (since 1911).
