Erol Uysal

Erol Uysal (* 1963 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish contemporary sculptor and painter.

Life

In 1990 Uysal began studying sculpture at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Lothar Fischer .

Uysal was born in Istanbul in 1963. From 1985 to 1989 he studied ceramics and sculpture at the Marmara University , art faculty in Istanbul. In 1989 he received a sculpture prize from the Turgut Pura Foundation in Izmir. In 1996 he was a master class student at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Lothar Fischer. In 1999 Uysal received a Karl Hofer scholarship in Berlin. In 2003 he worked for the Berlin Senate for Cultural Affairs in Berlin. In 2005 he was a member of the Munich Secession. He lives and works in Berlin and Istanbul.
