Eros Macchi

Eros Macchi (born August 2, 1920 in Milan , † July 5, 2007 in Rocca di Papa ) was an Italian television director and documentary filmmaker .

Life

As a documentary filmmaker, Macchi devoted himself almost entirely to television, a new medium in the 1950s. From 1954 onwards he was responsible for a large number of different programs, series and formats, including Via delle sette notte , Canzonissima , Johnny 7 Luna Park and Io a modo mio . He also translated a number of plays and wrote synopsis and scripts for feature films . Staged together with two colleagues, his documentary film Wonderful Colorful World came to Italian and later German cinemas in 1957.
