Initial instruction

During the initial training , new employees are informed about various safety-relevant aspects of their work environment. The Occupational Safety and Health Act Section 7, Paragraph 2, the Accident Prevention Regulation DGUV Regulation 1 “General principles of prevention” and other regulations oblige the employer to adequately and appropriately instruct his employees about safety and health protection at work.

The initial instruction is divided into a general part :

and a job-related part :

  • Dangers at the respective workplace
  • Safety devices
  • behaviour rules
  • Behavior in emergency situations
  • etc.

The implementation of the instruction must be documented and archived:

  • Date of instruction,
  • Content (s) of the instruction,
  • Type of instruction and name of instructor,
  • Name and signature of the instructed person (s).
