Ertuğrul Seçme (born November 7, 1965 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.
Player career
Seçme's football career is largely unknown. All that is documented is that he was active at the amateur club Hunat Sağlıkspor in the early 1990s .
Coaching career
Seçme began working at Kayserispor as a junior coach in 1999 . Until 2007 he held various positions in the club's youth department and was finally promoted to assistant coach in 2007. In summer 2012 he became the coach of the club's reserve team, the Kayserispor A2. After the head coach of the professional team, Schota Arweladze , resigned from his position in October 2012 , Seçme took over the team on an interim basis and looked after them for a cup and a league game. He then handed over the office to the new head coach Robert Prosinečki . He himself returned to his work with the reserve team.
In March 2014, he took over the professional team on an interim basis from the resigned head coach Domingos Paciência and was hired as the new head coach a few days later. After taking office, he and his team achieved three wins in a row. In doing so, he ensured that his club, which was severely threatened by relegation, had a real chance of relegation again. I.a. his team defeated the Turkish top club Galatasaray Istanbul in Istanbul with 0: 1 and won Kayserispors' first victory against Galatasaray in 40 years.
