The extended editor (abbr. EPM , English Enhanced Editor ) is a versatile text editor which is included as standard in the IBM OS / 2 operating system , in addition to the simple system editor. It has its own macro language called E and can be flexibly expanded. Macros can also be written in the widely used procedure language REXX . This editor provides support for the IBM Workframe / 2 development environment. The editor LPEX is included in the later development environments called IBM Visual Age .
