Hyperband

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The frequency range used for cable television in the cable network between 300 and 470 MHz ( special channels S21 to S41) is referred to as hyperband or extended special channel range (ESB ). In this hyperband range, the signals for digital television in accordance with the DVB-C standard are predominantly fed into the cable networks, in some cases also analogue transmitters, which older TV sets built before the 1990s cannot receive.

The channels have a frequency width of 8 MHz, the video carrier is offset by 1.25 MHz from the lower limit upwards, the first sound carrier is offset by 1.25 MHz from the upper limit downwards.
