The three-storey extension of the Bremen Health Department was built in 1999 according to plans by the architect Iffi Wübben (Bremen) on the property of the Health Department behind the red-stone-faced, three-story Ansgarhaus from 1882 and the corner house from 1953. Around 2400 m² net floor space was accommodated in the building. The corridor facade to the courtyard of the single-level building consists entirely of reflective glass with individual raised ventilation windows. The simple perforated facade on the office side is achieved through irregular window widths for an invigorating design. Exposed concrete surfaces in the traffic areas are reminiscent of the architecture of the 1960s.
