Anton Passy-Cornet , also Anton Pazzy-Cornet , ( March 3, 1868 in Vienna - February 13, 1934 in Kufstein ) was an Austrian opera singer ( tenor ) and director .

Life

Anton Passy-Cornet, son of the opera singer Anna Prasch-Passy , who also trained him, worked as a tenor from 1892. He began his stage career in Augsburg. This was followed by engagements in Magdeburg 1893, Troppau 1894, Laibach 1895, Preßburg 1896, Innsbruck 1897, Brno 1898, Graz 1899, Hamburg at the Carl Schultzetheater 1900 and Düsseldorf from 1901 to 1908, where he performed the opera Der Vogt auf Mühlstein von 1904 Cyrill Kistler participated. From 1908 to 1910 he worked as a singer and opera director at the city theater in Mainz. From 1910 (from 1913 only as chief director) until his retirement in 1931, he worked at the Nuremberg City Theater, most recently as a librarian.

His mother was Adele Passy-Cornet , his brother Josef Passy-Cornet . Julius Cornet and Franziska Cornet were his grandparents.
