There is a pointed cap

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There goes a Zipfelmütz is a German language folk or children's song that is suitable for children in kindergarten and is mostly used as a circle game. The song is based on the student drinking song There is a round song going around our table that has been handed down since the middle of the 19th century. The melody and text also have similarities with the children's song Es tanzt a Bi-Ba-Butzemann .

song lyrics

A pointed hat goes around in our circle, widebum.
A pointed cap goes around in our circle.

Three times three is nine
you know what I mean.
Three times three and one is ten,
Zipfelmütz stand still, stand still.

They shake, they shake,
they throw their legs behind them,
they clap their hands,
we are both related.

game

There are different variations of a game to the song: The children form a circle and hold hands. A child is selected (for example, the birthday child) or drawn by lots and is the "Zipfelmütz". It runs around in a circle inside and makes the appropriate movements to the song. With “stay standing, stay standing”, it chooses another child and stands in front of it. The two now dance together in a circle. From now on the new child is the Zipfelmütz 'and the game starts all over again.
