The moment takes what years are

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The moment takes what years come - the rebuilding of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library's book collection was the title of an exhibition that was shown from October 25 to November 18, 2007 in the Renaissance hall of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library in Weimar . It was dedicated to the antiquarian addition to the library holdings after the library fire in 2004 . The exhibition featured 60 historical books and magazines from the 16th to 19th centuries, a selection of the replacement copies and additions to the inventory already acquired at the time.

Special exhibits

The exhibits at the exhibition included a complete series of Georg Philipp Harsdörffer's “Frauenzimmer-Gesellpiele” from 1643–1657, Georg Neumark's “Fortgepflanzter Lustwald” from 1657 and Johann Wilhelm Weinmann's botanical opus “Phytanthoza-Iconographia” with all text and panel volumes that came from the possession of the Royal Herrenhausen Garden Library in Hanover.

various

The title of the exhibition goes back to a quote from the table song by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on Carl Friedrich Zelter's seventieth birthday on December 11, 1828, which says "Because the moment takes what the years give".

Exhibition catalog

An extensive, illustrated exhibition catalog was published for the exhibition (see literature). In addition to a foreword and the introduction, it contains numerous scientific articles, 60 catalog descriptions with illustrations, a bibliography, a bibliography and a register of persons.
