The Eschbachtal is a valley in the Bergisches Land through which the Eschbach flows.

The valley is mainly in the area of ​​the cities of Remscheid and Wermelskirchen .

The Eschbachtal nature reserve is a 1.5 km long section of the almost 12 km long Eschbachtal. The historical production facilities Mebusmühle , Dorfmüllershammer, Preyersmühle, Heyenbrucher Hammer, Altenhammer, Johanneshammer, Kellershammer and Luhnshammer were located there.

The Eschbachtal open-air swimming pool in the middle has existed for over 100 years.

In the 1830s roads were built that led from Remscheid to Wermelskirchen and through the Eschbachtal to Burg .

The 1891 completed Eschbachtalsperre at the beginning of the valley was the first drinking water - dam of Germany. A railway line passed through the Eschbachtal and was closed in 1921.

In the Eschbachtal there are ear trumpets, periscopes and horns as art objects.
