Meliads
The Meliae or Meliai ( Μελιάδες from gr. Μελία = "Ash", hence Esch nymphs ), also melic nymphs , called, are in Greek mythology, nymphs , in Eschen live. Often they are generally assigned to the dryads as tree nymphs.
According to the theogony of Hesiod, they arose from the blood that fell on Gaia when the Titan Kronos emasculated his father Uranos . In addition to the ash nymphs, the giants and the goddesses of revenge, the erinyes , were created in this way.
