The Eski Cami ( Greek Εσκί Τζαμί Eskí Tzamí , German 'Old Mosque' ) or ( Παλαιό Τέμενος Paleó Témenos ) is a mosque in the center of the Greek city of Komotini .

According to Evliya Çelebi , the small, one-room mosque was built from 1608 to 1609 on the site of a previously demolished old church. The relatively low structure is covered by a dome that rests on a circular drum. An inscription attests to the repair work carried out in 1677 and 1678. Its current appearance comes from the extensive renovations in 1853 and 1854. Only the original prayer niche has been preserved. The slender minaret with the unusual double scissors was also erected at this time . It is possible that the work was carried out on the orders or at the expense of Sultan Abdülmecid I , as minarets represented sovereign privilege.

Although the mosque was built after the New Mosque , it is called the Old Mosque because it was built in the old part of the city ( Παλαιά συνοικία ).
