Espírito Santo is a former Portuguese parish ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Nisa . The community had 1886 inhabitants on an area of ​​87.34 km². (As of June 30, 2011).

Espírito Santo is, next to Nossa Senhora da Graça , one of the two local parishes of the small town of Nisa.

With the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Espírito Santo, Nossa Senhora da Graça and São Simão were merged to form the new municipality União das Freguesias de Espírito Santo, Nossa Senhora da Graça e São Simão . Espírito Santo is the seat of this newly formed community.
