The Estadio Osvaldo Roberto , also known as Parque Osvaldo Roberto , is a football stadium in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .
The 8,500-seat stadium is located in the Montevidean Barrio Sayago on Avenida Millán 4712 . It serves as the home ground of the Racing Club de Montevideo , on whose 20,000 square meter club site, which was acquired in 1941, it stands. The sports facility was inaugurated on October 5, 1941 in front of a crowd of 4,000 spectators with the first round match of the Copa Uruguaya against Bella Vista (final score 1: 1). The first goal in the new stadium was scored by Antonio Álvarez . On July 25, 1948, it was given its current name in honor of a founding member of the same name.
