Esteban Guardiola Amorós

Esteban Guardiola Amorós (* 1780 in Tarragona , Catalonia , † after 1850 in León (Nicaragua) ) was director of the province of Tegucigalpa from September 29 to December 18, 1821 , an area that at times roughly corresponded to today's Honduras .

Esteban Guardiola Amorós was the father of José Santos Guardiola Bustillo .

Esteban Guardiola Amorós immigrated to Honduras from Catalonia as a mining specialist between 1805 and 1809 . He had been convinced by the haciendero and mine owner Capitán de las Milicias de Su Majestad Francisco de Gardela (* 1768) to immigrate.

He became a mine owner in Santa Rosa del Peñón and died in the second half of the 19th century.
