The Esther Nunatak is an approximately 200 m high nunatak in the northeast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 3 km southwest of Brimstone Peak .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1937 and probably named it after the name of the nearby Esther Harbor . Its namesake is sealer Esther from Boston , who operated in the waters around the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1921.
