The Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( Estonian Eesti Kaubandus-Tööstuskoda ) is a Chamber of Industry and Commerce based in the Estonian capital Tallinn (German Reval).

The seat of the chamber is on the Reval Toompea at Dom-Schulstrasse (Estonian Toom-Kooli ) 17 opposite the Reval Cathedral .

The Chamber was founded in 1925 by traders, manufacturers, bankers and ship owners to advance their interests and is the oldest business organization in Estonia. During the time of the Soviet occupation of Estonia, the chamber was inactive, but was rebuilt in 1989. With over 3,200 members (as of 2018), the chamber is the largest business association in the country. Membership is voluntary. In addition to its headquarters in Tallinn, the Chamber also has offices in Kuressaare , Dorpat , Jewe and Pärnu .

The board of directors of the chamber consists of 14 people, the president is Toomas Luman (as of 2018).

Personalities

The future Minister of Economics and Foreign Affairs of Estonia Mihkel Pung worked as legal advisor for the Chamber from 1926. Juhan Kukk , former Estonian President, was a member of the Chamber's Supervisory Board from 1937 to 1940. From 1989 to 1995 Jürgen Ligi , later Estonia's Foreign Minister, held various positions in the Chamber. The Estonian lawyer Küllike Jürimäe worked as a legal advisor in 1992/93.
