The Ethel Lake is a lake in Canada's Yukon Territory .
The 4610 hectare lake is located 20 km east of Stewart Crossing . It has a length of 21 km in west-east direction and a maximum width of 2.8 km. The Ethel Creek flows through the lake to the east. The lake is drained via Ethel Creek , Nogold Creek to the Stewart River . Hungry Mountain and the Francis Plateau rise on the north bank, Mount Sether on the south bank .
In the lake u. a. The following fish species are found: American char , pike , Arctic grayling , herring vendace , Prosopium cylindraceum , burbot and Cottus cognatus .
The lake is located in the tribal area of the First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun . Ten kilometers south of Stewart Crossing, a seasonal access road branches off the Klondike Highway to the east and leads to the Ethel Lake Campground , which is on the north shore near the western end of the lake.
