Etta Schiller

Etta Schiller b. Eckel (* 1933 in Berlin) is a German lawyer and administrative officer. She became known as the wife of the politician and Federal Minister Karl Schiller .

Life

Schiller is a daughter of the physician Paul Eckel . From 1971 to 1974 she was married to the politician Karl Schiller . Her alleged influence on her husband's politics was critically discussed in the press at the time. 1989–1990 she was in discussion as a candidate of the Cologne CDU for the office of senior city director . From 1990 to 1998, the doctor of law held managerial positions in the Cottbus regional finance office and in 1996 became the first woman in Germany to be the regional finance president. Etta Schiller is a member of the Brandenburg State University Council.
