Eudoxis was a Canadian power and thrash metal band from Montreal that was formed in 1984 and broke up in 1993.
history
The band was formed in 1984 and created a first music video for the song Metal Fix in 1985 , which increased their popularity. In 1986 the EP Attack from Above followed. The line-up consisted of bassist Rick "Raz" Raczko, drummer Stephane Rioux, singer Leiv Arnesen and guitarist Ronnie Theriault. The latter had replaced Mark Hill-Anderson, who could still be seen in the video for Metal Fix . In the following years the line-up changed again, so that in 1989 the band consisted of guitarist Mars B. Alexander, singer Sotiri Papafylis, as well as bassist Raczko and drummer Rioux. During the recording of the debut album, Stephane Rioux was replaced by drummer JP Perrault. After the album Open Fire was released through Shell Shock Music in 1991 , a tour followed in the summer of the same year. Mario Gilles could be heard as another guitarist. The video was broadcast on Canadian music channels such as MusquePlus and MuchMusic , and played as a song on radio channels such as CKUT-FM , CKWR-FM and CRSG-FM . In 1993 the band broke up.
style
The band played a mixture of Thrash and Power Metal, with influences from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal . In terms of sound, the songs can be compared to Metallica's Whiplash .
